YAAAASSSS!! I have been dying to do this shoot and this blog for a few weeks, and I am so so glad that I can finally post it!
So we will start from the beginning, I have known both Amanda and Alex for a lonnng time. We all went to high school together and that’s where they met! I am beyond happy to have been chosen as their wedding photographer and I can’t wait to shoot this wedding in May!
Anyway, this gorgeous couple has been together for a long time! They have two beautiful baby girls together and have already started their lives, this wedding is going to mean so much more because of that history and love that they already share in their little family.
But lets get back to the engagement shoot! At first we were just going to do a forest shoot at one of the local free parks, but then Amanda had this amazing idea to do a campfire themed shoot and I am super excited that she did!

We ended up choosing Point Pelee, mostly because they have these amazing “yurt” tents that you can rent for the night, and they come with Muskoka chairs and a fire pit, and a whole bunkhouse with electricity and everything! So I got there a little early and set up with my mom (who also happens to be my assistant) and we put some twinkle lights around some trees and built the fire, and from there…. MAGIC.
Amanda and Alex showed up with all you need when you shoot with me, LOVE, and boy did they deliver. Am I right?! They are just oozing emotion and love for each other in these photos. I have to say, my goal in life has become to produce as many genuine loving looks, and childish giggles from couples as I can. From making them sword fight with their marshmallows to having a chugging competition, these two fully committed, and that is truly when I get the best photos.

Its not a photo shoot, its a fun time, an hour or so that I basically let you play around and skip and bump hips and tickle each other until the cows come home and then I get this…..
I AM DYING. Its like lumberjack, fall, Pinterest GOALS.
And a big thank you to Amanda and Alex for putting up with me running around them and making them get up and down all night! It turned out so gooooodd!! Can’t wait for May!
